Big barn has been created to provide an environment that reflects the needs and expectations of our children aged from two up to three plus. The experienced staff team use the inside and fully enclosed outside space to plan a variety of child led activities where children can develop their skills within small or larger groups. Children are encouraged to develop their independence skills and supported to toilet train whilst in this room and are able to take a nap after lunch should they wish to. All meals, snacks, drinks, nappies and creams are provided by us.

The library bus visits us and children enjoy walks often going for picnics or ‘bear hunts’ around our grounds. Children’s learning is supported through offering opportunities to encounter wildlife, plants, and objects in their natural environment around our grounds where children are encouraged to explore freely but safely in all weathers throughout the year experiencing the changing seasons. Children’s creativity is extended through their own curiosity, exploration and play. They are provided with opportunities to explore and share their ideas and feelings using art and craft, music, movement, dance, imagination and role-play.
