Pre-school focuses on providing opportunities for children to develop their confidence, independence and knowledge. We offer self-serve snack where we encourage learning about healthy choices in relation to food. Opportunities are provided to explore and share ideas and feelings using art and craft, music, movement, dance, imagination and play within our bright and airy rooms and fully enclosed garden that provides an ‘outside classroom’ where children who prefer being outside can take part in the same experiences and learning that takes place inside.

Children are supported to master practical skills such as putting their own shoes and coat on, taking turns and independent toileting and hand washing all in preparation for the transition into school. We have excellent links with the local schools, we regularly visit so our staff are aware of their expectations and the reception teachers are also offered the opportunity to come and spend time with the children here.
